McLean Sixth Grade Center
McLean Sixth Grade Center is committed to providing a smooth transition between elementary and secondary education. A well-balanced curriculum is provided for all students that includes Math, Science, English/Language Arts, and Social Studies. In addition, they strive to enrich the academic, social and emotional capabilities of students in order to develop a sense of community.
Electives: Theatre, Art, Orchestra, Choir, Band, Journalism, PE/Health and CTE.
Extracurricular Activities: Spelling Bee, Whiz Quiz, Running Club, and Strategies and Board Games. Every student participates in History Fair.
McLean Sixth Grade Center is housed just down the street from McLean Middle School in the former Bluebonnet Elementary School building.
McLean Middle School (7th and 8th Grade)
Supporting students' physical, social, emotional, and academic development.
There are multiple paths to becoming a well-rounded person and McLean offers students many of them! Whether that means participating in accelerated academics; exploring engaging electives like rhetoric, creative writing, journalism, or theater; finding their musical gifts through a variety of choirs, bands, or orchestras; learning how to move their body in athletics, physical education, or Junior Cadet Corps; or serving in the community through the student mentor program, National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, or United Voices for Change; the mission of McLean Middle School is to empower students to dare to be different by daring to be themselves.
Foreign Language: Language instruction in Spanish, French and Latin with opportunity for high school credit.
Technology: Integrated one-to-one Chromebook program.
Guidance: Advisory program to assist students with academic and emotional development.
Teachers: Compassionate, certified teachers and staff preparing ALL students for success in college, career and community leadership.
Student Academic Competitions: Whiz Quiz, Spelling Bee, Academic University Scholastic League, Math Counts, National History Day, Junior Visual Arts Scholastic Event, Duke Talent Search.
Parent Involvement: Active PTA and booster clubs for athletics, band, choir and theater.
Fort Worth Sister Cities Nagaoka, Japan Host School
8th Grade Biology Trip: to Key West, Florida.
Extracurricular and Enrichment Electives: Theater productions. newspaper, yearbook, creative writing, speech and computer literacy.
Athletics: Volleyball, Football, Cross Country, Cheerleading, Track, Basketball and Soccer (8th).
Paschal High School (9th-12th Grade)
Preparing ALL students for success in college, career and community leadership.
Academics: Paschal’s course offering is broad - ranging from on level to AP classes in most subjects. Dual Credit and OnRamps programs are also offered.
Programs of Choice: PHS is the host school for 2 of FWISD’s Gold Seal Programs of Choice – AP Capstone Academy and Computer Science. Students must apply for these programs. FWISD Programs of Choice
